Alex Gong PDF

Alexander "F-14" James Gong (October 14, 1971–August 1, 2003) was a Chinese-American kickboxer who was a world champion of ISKA World Muay Thai, Junior middleweight class.

Alex won his world title in 1999. He defended his title on August 5, 2000.

In 2003, at the age of 32, Gong passed away. A hit and run driver, who had crashed into Gong's parked car in the Fairtex parking lot in San Fransisco and fleed, shot Gong in the chest. Gong, on foot, had chased down the suspect. Upon Gong catching up to and confronting the suspect, the suspect shot Gong. Gong was pronounced dead at the scene.

On August 3rd, 2003, a man named as a "person of interest" in the Alex Gong murder was confronted at a hotel, and after a lengthy standoff with police, shot himself in the head. No one has officialy been charged in the murder to this day.
