Good all around place to train. Reviewed by Mark, 2007-06-27 17:10:16 Dan Smith is the head instructor and owner, and seems well versed in many different martial arts. His emphasis is on those fighting styles that have the most practical usefulness, not the ones that look pretty. The majority of the people are in their 20's and early 30's, although there are some younger and older. The classes are set up so that any level can learn and train. Individual instruction depends on the class size: some are smaller and you get more personalized instruction while others are larger and you don't get as much. Overall, I like training in this gym because it feels like a real fighting gym and not a fancy dojo or fitness club. There is a lot of useful equipment, and it is all utilized. There are many payment plans to choose from. The only downside in my opinion is that there is no shower or locker room, but Sifu Smith has stated that he's planning on adding a shower in the future. Overall, I recommend this gym for anyone serious about fighting or getting in shape (but you can't be afraid of kicks/punches)... |
