James B. Streit, Jr. is the publisher of the Newark Post. He sets policies and manages all departments in the Newark office. He also publishes the New Castle Business Ledger and The Route 40 Flier. A life-long community journalist, Streit and his family arrived in Newark from Maine, where he published three community newspapers including The Bar Harbor Times. The publisher is secretary of the Newark Business Association, sits on the Newark Senior Center's board, the Dupont company's Newark Area Community Advisory Panel and the Christina Educational Endowment Fund board, and recently completed his term as president of the Newark Rotary Club. He and his family live in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Newark.
